As a recruiter with Insight Global I am responsible for a wide variety of daily tasks including: conducting interviews with employment candidates and running meetings with employers, cold-calling prospective new clients in an effort to earn more business, and using resume search engines to find candidates to fill open job opportunities. The job requires a high level of organizational skills, exceptional people skills, and demands a high level of professionalism. The typical work week ranges between 44 and 48 hours.
Fox Sports 1
Production Assistant Intern | 02/2015 - 05/2015
I was fortunate enough to earn an internship with Fox Sports 1 as a Production Assistant Intern. In this position I created daily sports highlight reels while working in coordination with a video editor. I was essentially the middle man between the on-camera team and the editing team. It was my responsibility to ensure the final production met the specifications of what the on-camera management team believed would create the highest quality production.
Woodbridge Village Home Owner's Association
Facility Inspector - Head Lifeguard | 05/2012 - 09/2014
In my time with Woodbridge Village Home Owner's Association I began as a Facility Inspector before being promoted to the Head Lifeguard. My employment with this company coincided with my job as a Reserve Firefighter with OCFA. As a Facility Inspector I was responsible for ensuring that the pumps and pipes of the Association's 22 pools were in working condition, acting as a source of information and point of contact for the community's residents, and aiding in coordinating a majority of the events that the association sponsored for it's residents.
As the Head Life Guard, I supervised a staff of over 80 part-time lifeguards during the summer season. I was responsible for scheduling, handling any resident disputes, ensuring the safety of the Association's pools, and conducting safety seminars to maintain the skills of the lifeguard staff.
Orange County Fire Authority
Reserve Firefighter | 06/2012 - 07/2014
This was my primary employment before going to school at UCLA. I worked 36 hours a week as a Reserve Firefighter for Orange County Fire Authority. The day to day requirements for this position varied, but it was an employment opportunity that exposed me to a wide variety of experiences and demanded professionalism and execution. My responsibilities ranges from cleaning and polishing the fire station/engines to drafting and editing reports, preforming EMT level medical procedures, and providing support on various types of structure, wild lands, car, dumpster, and freeway fires.
Irvine High School
Head Freshman Baseball Coach | 03/2013 - 05/2014
My position as the Head Baseball Coach for Irvine High School's freshman baseball team is perhaps the employment opportunity that I am the most proud of. During my time in community college I maintained 3 jobs while simultaneously keeping full-time status as a student. However, between working as a Reserve Firefighter, working at the Home Owner's Association, and coaching baseball - I absolutely looked forward to conducting baseball practice everyday the most. It was my duty to maintain the safety of my players, while also organizing practice times and coordinating team bonding and games. My coaching method emphasized respecting the game, hard work, and always acting with character. My teammates knew to always, "work hard and respect your teammates."
