Dakotah Rains: Freelance Photographer

· identify business opportunities and communicate effectively with clients regarding expectations to ensure that photographic standards and project specifics are properly executed · work in both coordinated and free-flowing environments while maximizing clients' photographic requirements and goals to deliver artistically composed and professionally process media · oversee and manage day-to-day operations including all operational, marketing, financial, and project specific functions to increase lead conversion and foster working relationships

· provide daily photographic and digital media services to nine public library branches and create image-driven content for library advertisements, promotions, and publications · update and maintain internal document archive and library database to guarantee availability and timely delivery of digital media for use across all departments and branches · coordinate a broad and fluctuating range of communication projects including digital media services, newsletter publication/distribution, and grant/award preparation

· provide on-location assistant services to the lead photographer while ensuring a confidential work environment when working with high-profile talent and confidential material · responsible for transport, installation, maintenance, and operation of a professional photography studio equipment and lighting at both indoor and outdoor/external locations · maintain and organize photographic catalog systems to ensure that all files are up to date with relevant metadata and stored in a searchable database

· ensure exceptional service by maintaining knowledge of department procedures and providing department wide administrative assistance to reduce errors, improve efficiency, and achieve objectives · assist the digital photography department with image processing including initial culling, basic and in-depth editing, writing/attaching proper metadata, and submitting digital media to department archives · provide on-set and on-location photo production assistance to department photographers

· photographer, edit/prepare and sell portrait collections to clients that tell their unique stories and represent a quality brand image that upholds portrait studio standards · leverage interpersonal skills to build rapport and create a comfortable environment that is attractive and inviting to studios' ideal client base · operate and maintain professional photography equipment including studio lighting, camera equipment, and computers/photographic printers
