Taylormade adidas Golf Carlsbad, CA February 2008 - Present Taylormade Golf Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of the adidas Group, sells golf clubs, balls, clothing and accessories under the TaylorMade, adidas Golf, Adams and Ashworth brands. TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company posted 2014 sales of approximately €1 billion. Specific responsibilities and accomplishments include the following: Controller, US/HQ Marketing Communications and Global Sports Marketing January 2013 – Present Head of Finance supporting both the Chief Marketing Officer and the Senior Vice-President of Global Sports Marketing. Directly control annual budget of approximately $135 million. Lead all budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities. Liaison with TaylorMade US Commercial Group, Corporate accounting, Corporate Tax and Corporate Insurance functions. Supported Oracle ERP implementation from a Marketing Finance perspective. Support Corporate Accounting with technical research. Implemented database to track and manage Athlete contracts. Supported MarketShare and Microsoft SmartGolf partnerships. Implemented GL account structure and reporting to support product launch ROI. Implemented automated requisition system to improve expense forecasting and cost control. Interim Controller, Adams Golf September 2013 – January 2014 Stepped in as the Interim Controller of this $100 million golf manufacturer upon acquisition. This included managing all day-to-day accounting functions, supporting the opening balance sheet and year end audits including the purchase price allocation. Lead the integration of the accounting departments and accounting systems. Key member of the due diligence team prior to the acquisition. Controller, eCommerce, Performance Labs and Retail April 2012 – December 2014 Head of Finance for the Taylormade Direct to Consumer Business Unit which included four eCommerce sites and twelve retail sites primarily comprised of TaylorMade Performance Labs. Lead all forecasting, budgeting and reporting functions during a period of 500% revenue growth. Key team member of a cross functional team supporting new Point of Sale and eCommerce systems leading the implementations from an accounting and reporting standpoint. Interim Controller TMaX Gear / Controller TMaG Accessories Division April 2011 – January 2013 Stepped in as the Interim Controller for a struggling licensee with global revenues of approximately $100 million. This included managing all day-to-day accounting functions, preparing monthly financial statements and borrowing base documents that had been delinquent for nearly a year, supporting a fraud audit and working with the Assignee for the Benefit of Creditors. Ultimately we purchased certain assets from the licensee which became our wholly owned Accessories division. Upon purchase I lead the finance and operations integration, lead all budgeting and forecasting and reporting activities for this new division and supported the Accessories General Manager as his Head of Finance. Manager Global Sales and Operations Planning June 2009 – June 2011 Responsible for managing the monthly S&OP process that generated the rolling 18 month demand, supply and inventory plans. Lead all regional meetings as well as organizing & leading the monthly Executive S&OP Meeting that communicates to the leadership the updated plans, notes all associated risks, gaps and opportunities along with ensuring all actions and/or follow ups are completed and communicated in a timely fashion. Developed and rolled out a regional monthly Open-to- Buy process where each regions monthly buy was reviewed with the regional Managing Director and approved by the CFO. Developed and implemented an S&OP key indicators dashboard to support an increase in inventory turns, a decrease in air freight cost and a decrease in obsolete inventory. Vice President, Controller Ashworth (acquired by TaylorMade in November 2008) February 2008 – June 2009 Ashworth designs, markets, distributes and licenses quality sports apparel, headwear and accessories under the Ashworth®, The Game® and Kudzu® labels. The Company held a license to design, source, market and sell Callaway Golf apparel primarily in the United States, Europe, and Canada. An SEC registrant with annual revenues of $200 million. Specific responsibilities and accomplishments include the following: • Prepared worldwide liquidity outlook. • Supervise annual budget process. • Counseled budget managers on costs saving initiatives. • Participated in various strategic alternative projects. • Responsible for the drafting of the company's 10-K and 10-Q filings. • Reduced accounting close from 15 days to five days. • Converted books from U.S. GAAP to I.F.R.S. • Researched accounting and disclosure issues.
