David Duran: Store Manager/Purchasing Manager/Skatepark Manager in Chandler, AZ

As the Store Manager of the KTR Chandler retail shop, it is my job to ensure the overall success of the store. Provide each member of my team with the tools necessary to give every customer excellent service. Communicated and built a rapport with many brands and their representatives across multiple industries. Using information provided by brand reps, I place orders for all the product in the store. Compared our current inventory with recent sales data to craft purchase orders through B2B sites and ATS sheets. As the Skatepark Manager my main goal is to produce an environment that is aligned with that of our company values. In an effort to keep the skate park safe, created a cleaning schedule that all employees are required to complete throughout their shift. Each month I host a skateboard or scooter contests to bring in new riders to KTR, and keep the local riders excited about participating. Collaborate with companies to see if they are willing to provide product to be used as prizes. Built a lesson plan for a three day skateboard camp that will be used for all future programs.

As the Lead Sales Associate, I directly provided our customers with service and knowledge of our products. Re-merchandised the store frequently to boost visual appeal. Coached the retail team on sales techniques. Proficient on the register as well as handling over-the-phone transactions.

My duties were to oversee all daily store operations. Prepped the store for opening or closing and ran the floor throughout the day. Trained new employees over the course of 1-2 weeks. Coached employees one on one to assist them in growing in areas that may be lacking. In additional to my managerial duties I also performed all the tasks of a Lead Sales Associate.
