Commercial Operations Manager | 03/2019 - Current

In this role I have operational, strategic, and project related responsibilities such as management of day-to-day activities of the sales support staff while supplying leadership through activity prioritization. I advocate sales terms and conditions with 37 primary customers each having over $1.5 million in annual revenue. Unique to my skill set, I provide counsel to the North American Intellectual Property Committee regarding responses to office actions and patent filings through coordination with the chief office in Milan, Italy. On incoming requests for proposals, I evaluate terms and conditions to mitigate liability and align with company objectives. With these RFPs I also serve as the project manager and support a cross-functional team as liaison to 5 outside sales representatives, 4 supply chain specialists, 6 inside sales associates, 3 product managers, 2 engineers, 4 agents, and general counsel to ensure completion of the RFP. Through this process I have guided our team the 5 multi-year contract renewals exceeding $70 million in total annual revenue. I also ensure consistent pricing and contract management procedures with current customers to support growth and profitability for my region. I maximized revenue for a 22-state region by 6% to an estimated $298M while capitalizing existing data resources to create a pricing dashboard which has allowed improvement of targeted marginal increased averaging 11% year-over-year. Throughout this process, I evaluated our business unit’s exposure to risk during negotiation of terms and conditions on contractual purchasing opportunities lasting less than 3 years. I have assisted my fellow commercial managers by quantifying customer metrics in a dashboard format to quantitatively measure performance and make the data accessible through multiple platforms. Through the COVID19 pandemic I have lead my region to outperform targets margins by over 5.5% while revenue exceeded targets by over 4.8%

Electrical R&D Engineer | 09/2018 - 06/2019

As a research & development engineer I evaluated prior art research & invention disclosures to supply insight for North American IP committee patent prosecution opportunities. In a go to market effort I unified global efforts to develop a patent portfolio surrounding a new surface coating formulation and the supporting robotic application tools. To further develop the go-to-market strategy I quantified Oak Ridge National Laboratory test data to explore cost savings analysis in coordination with outside sales. I assessed manufacturing site capabilities across the country in preparation for new or enhanced product development designs and created sampling and test plans for internal and third party approval. I lead third party submittal listings including UL, CSA, and ICEA along with developing design-to-cost plans with support from the business team. Finally, I support manufacturing in new product industrialization for 3 new products and took part in factory level experimental trials.

Electrical Design Engineer | 07/2015 - 09/2018

As a specification electrical engineer, I composed cross-functional meetings between engineering & legal advisors to identify risk in multi-year contracts. I also expanded automated business practices to improve key performance indices analysis by 30%. Furthermore, I utilized the customer's specifications and industry standards, including ICEA, AIEC, CSA, and UL, to design and support low-voltage, medium-voltage, and bare overhead conductor designs and bills-of-material that met the requested mechanical and electrical properties for each project. I coordinated with each of our manufacturing facilities in the production of the cables to ensure that the products met the customer's requirements using multiple cable design tools. Aside from these duties, I also spent time applying lean process principles to help streamline our product quotation and production processes thereby improving our cost analysis. Finally, I coordinated with other engineers to advance new product development and further manufacturing improvement implementations.

Dynamic Systems Design Engineer II | 07/2013 - 07/2015

As a Dynamic Systems Design Engineer for Belcan Engineering, I worked directly with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation's Ground Test and Airframe divisions helping to summarize communications and facilitate development between the two groups. I worked several projects on different aircrafts including the design of individual helicopter components. I also developed a systematic classification method for helicopter components to be in legal compliance with the International Traffic of Arms Regulations. I further inspected and certified ground test data to determine life expectancies on various Sikorsky Aircraft parts using mechanical engineering techniques to predict required maintenance times and specific tendencies under different mission conditions and craft maneuvers. Finally, I constructed structural components using aeronautical engineering principles for a developmental aircraft undergoing flight test procedures including technical drawings, specifications, and engineering change documentation.

Process Engineer Intern | 05/2011 - 09/2011

I began by monitoring day-to-day activities from the Blast Furnace through the Basic Oxygen Furnace including the Refining, Degassing, and Continuous Casting Processes. I also collected data to determine a cause for clogging around the tundish gate on ultra-low-carbon grade steels processed using the degassing process.
