JASMINE AYERS: Behavioral Therapist

Works 1:1 with clients on goals that have been derived from intervention plans based on collected data. Uses research- based methods in order to help improve independent skills such as language acquisition, play skills, self-help skills, behavioral modification, and social skills training.

Performed customer service duties for all company clientele. Was responsible for all lab dip requests and WIP reports sent to customers. Implemented administrative tasks as needed (invoices, calls, CEO/Accounting/Supervisor needs, etc.).

Utilized customer service skills: aided consumers in finding the products that they wanted/needed, checked people out at the cash wrap. Counted morning deposit from the prior day and closed registers at night. Aimed to reach daily goals for store memberships.

Worked to assist refugee clients in reception and replacement services at MCC. Completed Core Services provided by the Cooperative Agreement and independently researched client population in order to develop a better understanding of their cultures and religions. Implemented home visits, scheduled ESL and WIC appointments, applied clients for county benefits (MNsure, cash assistance, bus cards, etc.), filled out change of address AR-11s, and developed rapport with clients.

Worked with the supervisors to help plan meetings and events for both the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Peer Mentorship Program. Worked closely with the mentees and mentors to help make sure that the mentees reached their academic goals throughout their first year at UWS. Created and edited monthly newsletters that included any and all of the office's events and outreach/retention programs.
