WA
Responsible for comprehensive Facilities Management of a portfolio of 11 medical centers throughout the Puget
Sound region. Square footage: 270,000 (critical, clinical, and administrative) Budget $17.6m
Directed work from consolidated teams in: Integrated Facilities Management, Mechanical, Engineering, and Plumbing (MEP), Landscaping, Pest Control, Environmental Services, Security Management, Lease Administration.
Including services in: Energy Management, Value Creation, Project Management Oversite, Safety, Risk Analysis,
and Construction/Renovations. Provided Property Management services for a client owned building leased to tenants. Currently leading our teams through new paradigms of change management due to COVID-19 response. In
Q2 2017, I was awarded the CBRE RISEN award for demonstrated leadership, recovery of client relations and confidence within my first two quarters.
Sodexo
Facilities Operations Manager | 04/2016 - 06/2017
Managed a portfolio of 13 sites to include multiple spaces located at Seatac Airport Approximately 550,000 Square
feet (not including significant exterior responsibilities) and a budget of approximately $9 million. Including the Airline's headquarters, Flight Training Center, Data Center, Hangars, Lounges, Offices, and Boarding bridges.
Services provided include: Integrated Facilities Management, Business Analytics, Landscaping, Janitorial, Boarding
Bridges, Pest control, Sodium glycol plant management, MEP, and Vendor Management. Directed self-performed
work for Mobile Building Engineers of varied trades. I developed the team into a model where they were able to better self-perform tasks that would have previously been sent to vendors, such as Electrical, Painting, Airplane
boarding bridges, and Sodium glycol plant maintenance thus providing a cost avoidance of approximately $1mil
annually but more importantly growing the airline's trust in our Engineers to perform critical tasks that kept them in the air. I was often called upon to provide quantitative reports pertaining to efficiencies of labor and craft utilization
compared to KPIs/SLAs, SWOT reports to our leadership and proposals for capital improvement projects or
budgetary considerations. In this role we would often provide emergency response and successfully provide
solutions to critical concerns that would negatively affect the entire organization. During this time, I was awarded the Spirit of Sodexo national award for our team's on time integration of an acquired large airline and its assets into
our systems.
CBRE
Account Operations Support Manager | 10/2010 - 04/2016
October 2015 - April 2016
Key in planning and implementing new Facilities Management programs, policies, and procedures for a rapidly
growing organization. Provided operational support to the Director of Facilities Management, the two Regional
Facilities Managers as well as Projects Management supporting over 2600 medical centers, and a team of over 100
personnel locations nationally. Led a team to revalidate and integrate all data within the CMMS (administrator level), including verification of all significant assets on a site level, validating and importing back end data to reestablish the CMMS to provide accurate reporting. Assisted the Sourcing team on developing a regional vendor
model and deck as opposed to the national / aggregator that they had been using. During this period, I would also fill in for FMs and run small projects such a $120,000 refurb of a building that incurred severe water damage in Ohio, as
well as upgrades of restrooms, water treatment and storage areas nationally.
CBRE
Facilities Manager | 01/2014 - 10/2015
Led a Facilities Management team servicing a portfolio of 72 medical centers throughout the Pacific Northwest
region consisting of 520,000 sqft of clinical space and a $5.2mil budget. Credited with service recovery of a region
that had traditionally been resistant to the organization's strategic plan. Through, this evolution, I would keep nearly
constant contact with the Facilities Director on the client's side to achieve a unified approach and to gain better
insight to organizational goals and philosophy. Directed work from Mobile Technicians and Facilities teams in:
Integrated Facilities Management, Mechanical, Engineering, and Plumbing (MEP), Landscaping, Pest Control,
Environmental Services, Security Management, Lease Administration. Including services in: Energy Management,
Value Creation, Project Management Oversite, Safety, Risk Analysis, and Construction/Renovations. Prior to a
client driven reorganization, I was selected to become the Regional Facilities Manager for the West.
CBRE
Assistant Facilities Manager | 03/2013 - 12/2014
Sole local Facilities Management support for the investment branch of a well-known global financial organization of
120,000sqft of office and data center space with a $4.5mil budget. I quickly established the SOPs and procedures for
preventive maintenance and daily checks of all critical building systems, to include their data center. Proposed and implemented integrating a move, add, change program to include a move management vendor (already in use with the parent organization). Established an active presence to include briefing the CEO and Directors weekly on
Facilities concerns and progress. Served as a Property Manager for a space that we sub leased to Seattle Fitness.
4108 N. Huson Street, Tacoma, WA • (253) 468-2747 • driveonjb@gmail.com
This position was slotted to convert to a full Facilities Manager role but at the same time the client had decided to consolidate all of their portfolio under one provider.
CBRE
Business Manager | 10/2010 - 03/2013
Providing mainly Environmental Services to a highly dynamic Facilities Management organization, servicing over
450,000 sqft of clinical and administrative space with a budget of $4.5mil with at least 48 direct reports (of client personnel) performing Custodial, Hazardous Waste Management, Utility and Conference room services. Conducted
daily check and inspections for cleanliness and regulatory compliance. Provided regular reporting on team
development, efficiencies analysis and staffing needs. Collaborated with other managers and staff to develop
training videos for highly critical tasks. Revitalized the onboarding and personal/team development processes for the
department. During this period, we would often support the Projects Management team in taking on small projects to better develop our awareness and value to the organization. During this time I was awarded the CBRE RISEN award for taking on the duties of three of my peers in a transitional period.
