Kayla Hoffman: Photography Intern in Los Angeles, CA

Working with photographer two days out of the week. Duties include organizing future shoots, casting models for specific style/mood of shoot, location scouting, social media work, itinerary planning, brainstorming, filing, assisting on photo shoots, and pre-production.

Hired as the main photographer for the DisArt festival, an event focusing on art and people with disabilities to alter negative stigma. Worked as surrogate photographer for Robert Andy Coombs, Director of Photography. Photographed events and helped Coombs with fine art projects. Traveled to Liverpool for work. The internship lasted the duration of the festival.

Assisted customers and performed office related duties, such as managing phone calls, keeping track of stock in Excel, and computer work. Maintained organized space, opened and closed the building, and properly documented and filed away the daily profits during each shift.
