Manufacturer of a cooler/air conditioner had issues with out-of-the-box product performance. I reviewed the product with respect to existing issues and determined short term solutions. Then reviewed the product design and recommended product improvements to eliminate current and potential issues.

Create new designs to increase product quality, reliability, and manufacturability. Plan and conduct tests to ensure product meets quality and reliability targets. Create reports to update management and/or customers of progress. Work directly with vendors to identify and/or develop suitable product components. Assist purchasing in identifying suitable vendors to improve component availability, quality, and performance. Make improvements to existing products to lower cost and enhance performance. Perform custom designs to accommodate specific customer requirements. Support product manufacturing with technical knowledge. Create and update engineering standards. Train customers on function, purpose, and available options of new and existing equipment. Support manufacturing and supply chain on quality issues. Support manufacturing and assembly by improving or creating necessary tooling. Create and update guidelines for equipment applications. Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) activities by analyzing failed equipment and corresponding data, then reporting evidence and conclusions to management and customer.
