Work experience
Aisle 9 Group
Art Director, Senior Packaging Designer | 06/2013 - Current
As the art director here at Aisle 9, I work with my colleagues, as a team, to strategically place our clients on the shelves of major retailers through brand packaging design, marketing collateral and in-store displays. My methodology goes beyond making a product look pretty; it's important to me that there is a strategy and a visual message communicated to the consumer... The reality is, the package I generate is a silent salesperson on the shelf.
Responsibilites:
Generate and develop ideas for packaging, ads, brands and campaigns for print and web. Work alongside a team to ensure the creative strategy was innovative, motivating and right for the client. I have also inspired, encouraged and mentored junior teams, briefed photographers and presented to clients.
Packaging Design Categories:
• Herbal Supplements
• Frozen Meals
• Beverage
• Cereal / Condiments / Ready to Eat Meals
• Health & Beauty / First Aid

McNulty & Company
Graphic Designer | 06/1997 - 08/1999
From an internship to graphic designer level... I was involved with every aspect of the design world and various projects:
• Annual Reports
• Corporate Brochures
• Marketing Materials / Direct Mail
• Identity Systems / Logos
• Photoshoots
As the story goes... I was a student at NAU and saw a logo design by McNulty & Co in a logo book. It listed the city and being in disbelief, naturally I called to verify. Yep... there was a design firm in Thousand Oaks. Wow! I didn't have to commute to LA for a job? Could this be true? A month later, I was hired as an intern for the summer and asked to remain on staff (they liked me).
McNulty & Co gave me a great opportunity to be involved from the get go, very grateful.
