Manage the product development process of new and existing garments to include: garment design for woven and knit culinary apparel products. Responsible for initial concept and 1st sample through production in multiple categories: men's and women's jackets, shirts(knits and woven), pants, aprons, headwear and accessories. Sourcing: All fabrics and trims reflect the brand and that all materials pass rigorous safety and quality assurance testing using ASTM standards and protocols. Market Research: Conduct detailed market research to include interpreting and implementing relevent trends that will benefit the brand, conducting focus groups, attending trade shows and attending international fabric and trim shows as well as compiling competitor analysis that is relevant to the category. Design and Development: Design product range via hand sketching and Adobe Creative Cloud applications. Initiate preliminary tech pack and initial BOM to hand off to technical development team. Oversee and manage fit process and revision history. Develop and manage approval process of new fabric and trim development, review and approve 1st counter samples from overseas vendors and ensure that design integrity and quality is maintained at all phases of development. Work cross-functionally with all internal design and develop teams as well as Marketing, Sales, and Operations to drive the success of the brand.
