I monitor accounts that we have extended terms to and assist the sales team with releasing orders, contingent upon account status. I send payment reminders, monthly statements, and collection letters to accounts that have not provided updates or payment beyond 30 days past due. If accounts are deemed uncollectible, I have upper management approve and send to outside collections. I process credit card transactions and credit/ debit memos and then apply to appropriate accounts. I prepare the daily bank deposit and and assist in the weekly check run. I research and resolve payment discrepancies with customers through email, adequate backup, and phone calls. I review new credit applications, contact references, and determine whether applicants are eligible for approval. I also review new accounts for accuracy within our system and follow up on resale certificates to confirm whether or not they are taxable. During an audit, I can perform extensive research to legitimize a transaction or claim. I provide customer service to any customer requesting information or summary of account activity.
