The Creative Coalition - Sundance Film Festival

As an intern for The Creative Coalition during the annual Sundance Film Festival, I participated in organizing and coordinating major events for the company such as 'The Spotlight Initiative Gala Awards Dinner' in Park City, Utah. These tasks included handling product mail outs, entering event data, arranging all displays and props for the day’s events, and performing other administrative tasks. I also assisted in managing schedules for celebrities and CEO's. Through this experience, I gained knowledge of the industry from many professionals working in the entertainment, marketing, and event planning industry.

As an intern at Link Marketing, my job was to promote, organize, and plan promotional events for Toyota Scion and Venom Energy Drink at various locations around New England. Using search engines and maintaining communication with other retailers, company partners, and venue holders, I was able to coordinate and lead the team to multiple events to represent the product and company. Utilizing Vimeo and YouTube, our team was able to broadcast the day’s success by posting videos to social media outlets thereby increasing brand awareness.

As former head of Social Media and Public Relations for this project, my job consisted of gethering and publishing specific content for social networking platforms including Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, with the purpose of increasing awareness for the production. Utilizing and developing a social media road map helped build an accurate and strong identity for the company, form relationships with viewers, and develop close partnerships with individual sponsors, professionals, and companies. Along with maintaining support with established stakeholders, my colleagues and I developed a social media and marketing strategy to broadcast across America and Canada. Through communication and determination, Far From Home Movie has now become an international film now featured on Red Bull TV and in nearly 20 global film festivals. Support and partnerships include, Hulu, VICE, Snowboard Magazine, Westminster College, and more.

While interning for Discrete, I had the pleasure of working in various event locations throughout Utah with the purpose of promoting the Discrete Company. Julian Carr, founder of Discrete Clothing, hired me as a marketing intern to travel to accounts, trade shows, ski and snowboard premieres, and award ceremonies to make a presence in targeted areas. Our goal was to achieve growth and increase awareness by analyzing feedback and tracking sales. This increased my knowledge in developing ways to seek opportunity for growth.
