• Item Ratings - Defined service levels for each SKU by calculating each item's inventory score; a weighted average of unit sales and gross profit. ? The Inventory Score is ranked descending to assign item ratings and service levels. ? Created a job and store procedure in SQL to calculate the item ratings and update weekly. ? Report used by the Buyers to help replenish inventory and store managers used the item ratings to monitor top items to obtain inventory. • Demand Forecasting Optimization - Used five exponential smoothing forecasting algorithms (Moving Average, Moving Average Trend, Seasonal Additive, Seasonal Multiplicative, and Croston) to create demand used in inventory level calculations. ? Used SQL to extract the historical sales data by category. ? Used this data to run VBA Excel macros for each forecasting method. ? The coefficients were imported into a SQL table. ? Created a job and stored procedures that would use the coefficients table to replicate the forecasting from the macros to provide a monthly report with the demand for the next 30 days. ? This report also utilized the item ratings to provide the Buyers with Safety Stock and Reorder Points. • Product Recommendations (Baynote) - Increased revenue by using A/B testing within Baynote's interface. ? Evaluated over 100 possible predictor variables to include in the recommendation software program. • Skate Platform Design Hypothesis Testing- the goal of this analysis was to compare skate sales as a % to total sales between Total Hockey and newly acquired Player's Bench stores. ?
