Dealership Retail Analysis & Operations Improvement
• Assigned to various (or dedicated) dealership location(s) to conduct a deep-dive, operational analysis and provide recommendations to the Regional Tire Store Manager (RTSM) for best practices to drive operational improvement.
• Accountable for reviewing and identifying opportunities to enhance all tire program components along with Maintenance & Light Repair (MLR—alignments & brakes sales) and operational functions including but not limited to: product screens, pricing, inventory, inspection process and sales effectiveness.
• Develop and implement strategies and tactics to assist dealerships with meeting/exceeding sales objectives.
• Analyze performance of programs and recommend marketing and promotion strategies to increase tire and MLR sales, utilizing existing programs and/or recommending new programs.
• Conduct market competitive shops to provide market competitive price information/positioning to assist in analysis of pricing strategies at each location.
• Support & strengthen the dealership’s Service Advisor’s capability to present tire and maintenance options to customers & sell conclusively on the drive - utilizing & explaining program value added items to exceed assigned sales and productivity goals.
• Train dealership personnel on the Dynamic Retail Selling Guide (DRSG) and measure utilization.
• Provide feedback to the RTSM regarding staff (Tire Service Advisor and dealership) effectiveness and provide recommendations to assist with enhanced execution of tire programs and MLR sales.
• Identify metrics for tracking progress and develop reporting tool for each location.
Assessing, Mentoring & Coaching Talent
• Become an expert on what it means to be a high performer and high potential sales professional in the Tire Store organization and use this as the basis for work.
• Using extensive knowledge and experience as a Tire Store professional, provide exceptional leadership with practical coaching and guidance to other Tire Service Advisors.
• Actively and continually assess skills, knowledge and capabilities of new hires and other Tire Service Advisors as they progress through the program and provide coaching to the individual and partner with the manager supplying feedback to help improve overall performance.
• Through a “ride-along” process, demonstrate and train new and existing sales associates in effective sales methods that align with the Dealer Tire sales process.
• Complete recap documents that effectively provide the leader a full picture of the associate’s strengths, areas of opportunity, knowledge, skills and behaviors.
• Provide consulting to leadership to build the sales organization capability, improve individual and organization performance, and develop the sales leadership pipeline through the identification and development of high potential talent.
