Bibliotheca
Marketing Specialist | 12/2014 - Current
I work with this Atlanta-based library-technology company which, at its core, exists to help libraries remain important parts of their communities while empowering and enabling librarians to do what they're great at - help people find information!
Bibliotheca makes powerful software and really cool hardware that allows libraries to run smoothly and effectively behind-the-scenes. If you walk into a library with a sleek little self-check-out machine, there's a good chance it's a piece of Bibliotheca equipment.
As a member of a small but very capable marketing team, I work closely two other teammates in Manchester, England and our VP in Vermont to coordinate worldwide marketing, communications, and events. I closely support the US team, but also help support marketing efforts in Canada, Brazil, and Australia.
HD Supply
Communications Specialist | 06/2013 - 04/2014
HD Supply, a large (15,000+ employees) industrial distributor across the US and Canada, has a massive goal to become the healthiest company on the planet and so, with my interest in health and wellness programs, I was excited to jump on board with the team in Atlanta. While my stint at HD Supply was short (I ended up resigning to focus on my own health after an intense injury and subsequent surgeries, from which I have now recovered), I was able to work on a wide variety of programs and projects including wellness-activity adoption across the company, a health ambassador program, and the launch of a brand-new company-built health insurance program.
Ingenious Med
Marketing Specialist | 05/2012 - 05/2013
Ingenious Med, founded by a group of physicians, creates industry-changing web and mobile applications to automate the hospital and physician billing and data capture process. This optimizes healthcare performance and revenue, allowing physicians to spend more time with patients and less time on paperwork. I was tasked with increasing content production and positioning Ingenious Med as a through leader within the healthcare IT field using blogs, webinars, newsletter and email campaigns, articles, white-papers, e-books, etc. I also worked to clarify company-wide branding by creating corporate identity guidelines, redesigning and updating trade show materials, sales and implementations collateral, etc.
German American Chamber of Commerce
Marketing & Communications | 11/2009 - 05/2012
Manager, Communications - April 2011 to May 2012
Communications Coordinator - July 2010 to April 2011
Marketing Associate - November 2009 to June 2010
I created and maintained the Chamber's communications plan, corporate identity guidelines and advertising selling and pricing policies. I actively pursued advertising revenue and oversaw all company communications including online media, contributions to the national bi-monthly magazine - German American Trade, the annual report and other traditional media. I built relationships with media and the community to promote the name and mission of the chamber.
