In my last job, which you are asking about, I was a copy editor for the local newspaper, mainly grooming articles for the entertainment section, but also filling in for copy editors whose responsibilities involved all sections of the newspaper. My duties involved correcting errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, content and style. Also, I wrote the headlines for each article that I edited. Before I went to college, I spent four years as a machine operator, using mills and lathes. I became very experienced in the use of measuring instruments, as explained elsewhere in my profile.
