I am a creative and hardworking apparel designer and trend forecaster with a global perspective, with 6+ years design experience. I earned my BFA in Fashion Design at Syracuse University, and studied abroad at the London College of Fashion. Upon graduation, I worked in design in New York City (4+ years), then Toronto, and now, Nashville! My experience includes all levels of childrenswear and activewear. I possess excellent computer sketching + CAD skills, an expert eye for trends and color, a high taste level, and in-depth knowledge of the full design cycle, from concept through to production. I am currently an activewear designer at Russell Athletic, which is part of Fruit of the Loom, owned by Berkshire Hathaway. In my current job, I lead all aspects of trend forecasting for seasonal direction of lines, and design performance apparel. 

My specialities include: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Web PDM, fittings, sketching, fashion illustration, shopping the market, competitive research and analysis, trend forecasting and presentations, concept design and rigging, visual merchandising, fabric/trim research and development, color palette development, communicating with overseas factories, strikeoff approvals, patternmaking, draping, sewing, graphics/print direction, tech packs, styling, personal shopping, and organizational/time management skills

+Completes extensive trend shopping, trend research and market analysis, and leads seasonal direction of trend presentations and apparel lines 
+Travels to Los Angeles & New York biannually for seasonal trend inspiration and to stay on top of emerging market trends, in addition to shopping local Nashville market monthly
+Travels to Outdoor Retailers Winter Market trade show in Salt Lake City yearly for activewear technical innovation, new fabrics, and inspiration 
+Proposes and plans shopping trip guides & recaps for each travel destination 
+Creates competitive analysis of our brand vs our competitors, to have full understanding of activewear landscape
+Develops new fabrics and trims per season, and reviews daily submissions for overseas development
+Partners with cross functional teams on a daily basis, including Sourcing, Merchandising, Product Development, and Brand
+Reports directly to the Design Director
