Having more than five years’ experience as a reporter and managing editor, I’d like to introduce myself in hopes of learning more about your current requirements for the Marketing and Media Manager position with the ISA.
 
I have a degree in English, am accustomed to meeting tight deadlines, working in a team-oriented environment and have a firm grasp on developing effective stories for a wide range of readers.
 
Since taking on my current position as managing editor at The Coast News Group, I have been instrumental in turning the three publications into viable news sources by introducing more in-depth reporting on community affairs.
 
In addition to organizing content from staff and freelance reporters, I conduct the majority of page design and layout using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. I have filmed and edited several short videos for online viewing using digital cameras and Adobe Premiere. Making posts on social media outlets as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter is also a regular routine as a way to better connect with readers.
