Process Improvement Analyst | 09/2014 - 01/2016

• Sought opportunities for business improvement by spending time with the San Diego regional sales team through ride-a-longs, team meetings, and Southern California branch events • Developed project (using Lean Six Sigma & DMAIC) targeted at reducing product returns to our Arizona meat plant - of the 12+ reasons for product returns (ex: incorrect quantity, price, delivery day, insufficient funds, etc.) the most influential independent variables were "sales" and "customer" error • Identified top causes for returns by aggregating daily numbers (by error) into excel - following the Pareto Principle, rank ordered errors over a 3-month period to narrow the project scope to sales & customer error • Measured current performance levels to find $60,000 in credit issued per quarter and mapped current order entry process. Errors were negatively correlated to years of experience, indicating a lack of detailed product knowledge • Developed a controlled system for logging sales and customer errors and placed an added emphasis during new hire & ongoing training • Additionally, cultivated and maintained "C" level one-on-one mentoring continuing to this day
