Innovations and Strategic Project Consultant | 02/2016 - 12/2019
Provide consulting services to AB-Inbev including the implementation of new business operations to improve our speed to deliver innovations as well as developing the innovation pipeline.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement and integrate a new plug and play co-packing business unit to expedite NPD launch agenda
• Develop, negotiate and contract new suppliers as long term partner or as Joint Venture associates
• Develop business cases / business modeling for strategic projects and the innovation pipeline products
• Build and manage internal multi-disciplinary teams including legal, distribution, risk, manufacturing, S&OP, etc
• Training and coaching management pipeline to build skills within the organization
Highlights:
• Project manager and technical SME for the 3 largest NPD co-pack projects ever executed, all concurrently (2 000 000 liters a month throughput). In parallel, developed and commercialized a scalable and flexible turnkey outsourced
business unit for co-packing to accommodate the above projects.
• Design and executed the largest expired product return in Africa, from collection to destruction and recycling. Set
up 8 operations across the country to manage the 8000 pallets of product, distributed between 52 depots.

Delivering disruptive innovations via end-to-end management of the innovation process, from supplier development to manufacturing and delivery. Projects include: new products, limited edition runs and promo packs.
SABMiller climbed to #79 in Forbes most innovative companies in 2016.
Responsibilities:
• Management of the end-to-end innovation process to ensure product reaches market on time and in full
• Manage NPD budgets and resources from suppliers to manufacturing all the way through to distribution
• Ensure that all aspects of quality, health and safety are in alignment with global company standards
• Challenge team with critical thinking and creative problem solving for the reasons why things "can't be done"
• Change management and communication across suppliers, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution and sales
Highlights
• Delivered the one of the most complicated, wide reaching Marketing NPD projects in the African business hub. The
$1.4m project included installation of a custom micro manufacturing line, bespoke delivery trucks, new systems and significant installation of equipment in 12 pubs across the country.

CAPITAL OPTIMIZATION CONSULTANT | 04/2010 - 10/2014
As a team, to analyze, evaluate and value optimize the annual $220m capital investment portfolio for the South African
business unit. During this time, I was also seconded to work with numerous top tier management consulting companies to assist in delivering to our special projects agenda.
Responsibilities:
• Business case evaluation of major CAPEX projects to return ROI (EVA / NPV) vs project risks
• Trade off capital projects to suit the company's strategy without compromising continuity, capacity and capability
• Present CAPEX portfolio to the Managing Director and his team of Vice Presidents
Highlight:
• Through quality and accuracy of prior work, I was asked to take the lead role in the business case development of a
$85m, 130k ton malting plant. My end to end involvement included conceptual plant design philosophies,
development of raw materials supply chains, unpacking of multiple regression analysis for forecasting numerous
variables (exchange rates, barley pricing, energy costs, inflation, etc for a 15 year period). After 2 years of robust
modelling, the project was approved.

Special Projects Execution | 05/2009 - 03/2010
As a team, to analyze, evaluate and value optimize the annual $220m capital investment portfolio for the South African business unit. During this time, I was also seconded to work with numerous top tier management consulting companies to assist in delivering to our special projects agenda.
Highlights:
• Seconded to the distribution team that were looking to optimize the distribution chain (2 700 million liters of beer annually) from 7 breweries to 52 depots on to 45 000 customers with a fleet of over 700 vehicles. After a month, I
developed a universal formula and execution philosophy which unlocked a $3m annualized savings.
• Requested to drive down Net Working Capital over our 7 breweries. Within 3 months, had sustainably decreased
the raw material holdings by 27% through detailed supply chain analysis and development of real-time visual
management systems.
