" Stood up an external web application and product development unit for the agency; introduced an award-winning digital ecosystem of interlinked online query and mapping tools, along with a robust open data/API program that now provides direct, automated access to more than 1.8 million time-series data. ? Interactive data portals--Electricity, Coal, Oil Imports, International Energy Data, and U.S. States.
? Interactive energy dashboards--the Southern California Daily Energy Report, the New England Dashboard and the Natural Gas Storage Dashboard.
? The U.S. Electric System Operating Data Tool, which provides nearly real-time demand data, plus analysis and visualizations of hourly, daily, and weekly electricity supply and demand on a national and regional level for the U.S. electric grid.
? The U.S. Energy Mapping System containing more than 60 interactive layers of energy data and incorporating real-time feeds from NOAA and FEMA to provide insights into the likely impact of weather events--such as hurricanes and floods--to the U.S. energy infrastructure.
" Directed the management and operations of the "Inside EIA" employee intranet, which serves as the agency's primary vehicle for internal communication. " Implemented a comprehensive rebranding and website redesign effort to modernize EIA's corporate image, strengthen its brand identity, and bring consistency to its web and print products.
" Directed all media relations for a federal agency that receives daily news coverage. Responsible for up to 10,000 media citations annually and guiding staff in responding to more than 1,600 news media inquiries/year. " Oversaw EIA's external communications, marketing, branding, and outreach activities. This includes managing the agency's public profile and image and raising awareness through all channels (e.g. online, video, print publications, media relations, marketing collateral, social media, customer contacts).

" Redesigned and re-launched the existing Energy Kids website and conceptualized and launched the Energy Explained adult energy literacy web portal. These assets, along with EIA's Frequently Asked Questions and the daily Today in Energy homepage feature--introduced during my tenure--constitute the most comprehensive suite of energy education products currently offered by the federal government.
" Collaborated with Canada and Mexico to create a website in support of the trilateral energy initiative and featuring content in English, French and Spanish--nacei.org. " Partnered with the Groundwater Protection Council and its member states to design, develop, and launch nogateway.org, the first website with publicly available well-level oil and natural gas data from multiple states.
" Led an agency-wide employee retention initiative with cross-agency working group and human capital advisors; developed and launched the MyCareer@EIA intranet portal to broaden staff understanding of career options, development opportunities, and career progression at EIA.
