Amada occupational safety and health program implementation; oversight of all company safety coordinators with divisional responsibilities within the safety and environmental program; coordination of all quarterly employee training; collaboration with division and department managers to develop job specific training material and procedures; visit facilities (IL, TX, GA, NY, & CA) to identify existing or potential hazards, corrective actions, or potential procedural or policy improvements to enhance the safety of employees; manage incident investigations, emergency response and evacuations; recommend changes in job function practices, methods, and/or procedures to eliminate recurring or potential injuries; act as liaison with insurance carrier; provide for guidance in maintaining regulatory compliance; prepare and submit all forms related to permits, reports, and fee payments to all regulatory agencies; maintain proper training records according to regulatory requirements; act as a liaison with local fire departments, emergency agencies, and hospitals.

Develop and implement EH&S policies, procedures, and management systems to ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations and with PPG Aerospace business unit’s annual and strategic plan requirements. Develop an understanding of processes, personnel, and risk levels. Analyze all incidents, near miss trends, and utilize data to establish initiatives for improvements to deliver results consistent with key performance indicators. Regularly assess EH&S performance by conducting formal and informal assessments and evaluations. Maintain effective relationships and communication with global EH&S and PS Staff. Utilize PPG EH&S mgmt system to ensure consistent implementation of the EH&S processes. Act as a liaison for all EH&S/PS integration.

Provide EH&S Support to ensure compliance; Implement EH&S procedures, programs, and GE System at the site level; Support and implement environmental compliance; Foster EH&S Conscious culture and drive operational ownership of GE’s program; Conduct, manage, and perform health & safety training of all personnel; EH&S inspections and audits as well as measuring and tracking performance through various matrices; establish an ergonomics program for office personnel from the ground up; Help to establish a newly procured facility which includes safe design, engineering, and/or administrative controls.

Review and Revise all applicable procedures requiring annual review or revision. Develop, write, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment. Develop, write, and implement job hazard analysis (JHA) applicable to the work being performed. Provide for daily safety, housekeeping, PPE, and Policy & Procedure audits. Perform required respiratory testing and analysis. Provide for employee safety and environmental compliance regarding the recycling of lead acid, nickel cadmium, lithium, and nickel hydride batteries as well as various catalysts, and items containing mercury.

Three (3) week contract position responsible for reviewing, revising, and providing red-line copies of all safety & health policies and procedures including IIPP, HazCom, LOTO, and Powered Industrial Truck Safe Operation Procedure. I also revised their lab job safety analysis (JSA) forms, content, and format.

Review & Revise All Safety Procedures including IIPP, HazCom, LOTO, & PPE. Provide Visio floor plans for all buildings to include safety equipment and evacuation routes for emergency action plans. Provide for all fire protection & prevention in compliance with the Panasonic Global Fire Prevention Rule. Certified AS9100, ISO27001, and ISO14001.

Write, train employees, and enforce TAE safety policy & procedure based on Federal, State, and Local regulation. Monitor adhesion to safety policy & procedure on the floor of the experiment, maintain appropriate grounding and electrical safety with voltages up to 40kv. Develop & maintain appropriate safety signage throughout the facility as well as required postings and information. Requisition and order all safety supplies, PPE, and other safety related products necessary to operations and construction of the experiment. Handle & ship all hazardous waste and maintain the hazardous waste accumulation area.

Company wide electrical safety including employee audit, compliance, IIPP implementation, incident investigations, corrective action, injury treatment, post incident drug & alcohol testing, formulation & presentation of safety meetings, and generation & filing of documentation.

On site safety supervision of construction & maintenance employees at oil refineries, and electrical power plants. Assigned specifically to Exxon Mobil Torrance Refinery.
