• Responsible for managing a team of six ILWU members that forecast effective pre-planning, execution and supervision of the duties associated with the planning of terminal, barge and vessel operations. • Effectively supervises and directs the work activities of labor, and other personnel; ensuring performance expectations and customer needs are met. • Makes decisions affecting overtime cost and general expenditures and ensures they are made in the best interest of our company and customers. • Responsible for the development and achievement of operational and financial goals and objectives.

• Directly reporting to the President, providing direction and leadership to communicate and achieve company goals and objectives, while cultivating positive team performance across multiple departments • Identify redundancies across all departments to create and implement efficiencies - definitively improving company performance • Manage policy deployment through training in: lean operations techniques, quality measurables, cost reduction, completed on-time deliveries, safety programs, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and statewide performance measures. • Responsible for overall management of finances for the freight operations in all ports with close analysis of annual budgets to effectively control costs

• A seasoned manager by industry standards that has been a part of a complex Super Terminal that is able to move over 3.8 million containers a year. • Supervise, train and direct union-represented employees in all operational and safety procedures, including the responsibility to counsel, discipline and make termination recommendations ensuring an efficient operation within the definitions of the labor agreement • Lead employees to prepare and execute operational plans while analyzing appropriate workforce hiring for an efficient and cost-effective result • Actively participate in developing, executing and monitoring tools to achieve Key Performance Indicators

• Responsible as the liaison between IT to the business managing the team who administers, maintains and enhances the local area network, File Servers and E-Mail servers at the specified and assigned areas of responsibility and all assigned customer locations • Experience in managing terminal automation projects such as RFID, OCR, EPS and vendors to include WhereNet (Zebra), HTS, ESC, Smart-tech, CargoTech, APS Technologies, Cyberlogitec and NOW Solutions • Manage all network servers, monitor queues, monitor server disc space, while troubleshooting and resolving technical issues • Effectively communicate with customers both external and internal, peers, vendors and superiors • Perform to the customer level of satisfaction to meet the signed Service Level Agreement with the business owner

• In the third largest terminal in the world, developed efficient and effective vessel plans according to customer specifications while working effectively with Superintendents, yard and ship labor • Involved in 24-hour container operations with multiple departments to ensure first-class customer service to steam ship lines, government agencies and terminal operators • Developed hands-on and leadership experience across a range of functions including: safety measurables, inventory management, customer service, forecasting and production planning • ISO Certified and World Quality Assurance Auditor.

• Apprenticed as inside wireman until completion of program specializing in motor control • Quickly elevated from apprenticeship to Journeyman and ultimately, Foreman • Major projects included The Getty Center Museum, Anheuser-Busch and The Northridge Mall
