After a fast start at CP+B, the sudden sea changes in culture, structure and leadership left me looking for more control of the direction of an agency. HLK provided just that when they chose me to run their Denver office. Responsibilities
more mirrored my time at Grenadier, and therefore fit better into my skill set. From an account perspective, it also
represented an opportunity to experience some new industries, namely healthcare and B2B. Unfortunately, after only a year,
the agency decided to scale back and closed the Denver office.

After an amazing three and a half years building & running Grenadier (see below), I decided to exit.
It was a simple fact of arithmetic - not enough revenue to support a five-partner structure. While a tough decision for me personally, I knew it was the right one for the business and for our great employees (what a concept).
Upon leaving, I was quickly hired by CP+B to run Kraft and Lay's, winning multiple awards (Clios, Lions and LIAs) for the Kraft "Swear Like a Mother" activation. During my time at CP+B I pitched and won the OtterBox account
(a $1B+ consumer products company located in Fort Collins, CO) and led the consolidation of the
Hershey's account, adding approximately $10MM to the agency's top line.

FOUNDER, PARTNER | 08/2012 - 04/2016
In 2012, finally realized the dream of starting up my own agency. My partners and I opened Grenadier's doors with a couple of Ikea desks and a cell phone. In three + years, built a profitable, fully integrated agency attracting local,
regional and national clients across industries and levels of development. Highlight was launching the turnaround for
the SunnyD brand with a new positioning and creative platform that was executed across all communication media -
TV, digital, in-store, social, PR, promotions, web, experiential. The work galvanized the SunnyD internal teams,
customers and consumers, and was responsible for a net 12% sales increase in test markets.

After beginning my career in NYC, I made the move to Boulder (who wouldn't?) to lead SRG's transition from a smart strategic shop to a smart creative shop. Led agency revenue growth of $7MM+ through both organic and new business. Authored a new agency philosophy for how account and creative teams work together.
Ultimately, SRG wasn't ready to walk the talk, so I found some like-minded partners and started Grenadier,
just up the road.
