shaan bhatia: Marketing Intern

InRage Entertainment is as diverse as it gets when it comes to a record label. They have a number of different independent artists so my main job is to help promote and increase their following as well. In order to do this we use a number of different social medias like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. I am also in charge of their accounting and data entry. They do believe in thought creation so presenting ideas in a clear and sincere way in order to properly get through to upper management is very important.

As an accounting assistant I messaged clients, did data entry and worked in payroll. Having to be quick with numbers and entering them accurately is key to be successful at this job. I pride myself on being as professional as I can whether it’s a simple email or entering data in a timely manner.

As a teller in the Victory/Fallbrook branch you must assist clients with their banking needs by providing superior customer service. Being able to work in an environment that required a high level of concentration while counting large sums of money tested my abilities. Learning about the banking world and how they operate taught me a lot about how to talk to customers in a respectful manner and how to manage my future finances.

Growing up playing all sports, golf taught me so many lessons such as sportsmanship, being courteous, and making adjustments on the fly. I played throughout middle school and highschool helping win our CIF championship when I was in 7th grade. You learn a lot since you simply can't rely on others, rather its an individual sport so its all up to the player. I thought it would be a great opportunity to bring what I learned to eventually helping kids as they could use these lessons as they grow up as well. Its such a good feeling when you try to teach someone so young and they listen, eventually seeing them get better is awesome to see.
