Took over an existing territory and traveled the territory including the Bakken in North Dakota and eastern Montana, as well as Wyoming calling on oil companies on a bi-weekly basis. Sold fiberglass and steel production tanks, well-site equipment such as treaters, separators, and Hess Services Well Stream Process Packages directly to oil companies. Contacted existing customers on a regular basis to establish a great working relationship. In addition to maintaining existing customers I was able to open up several new accounts including Statoil, Whiting Oil & Gas, QEP Resources, Ballard Petroleum, and Missouri River Resources. I was very persistent without being a pest in my effort to get appointments with new potential customers. The first time we met with QEP Resources, the Operations Superintendent asked by boss, who hired this guy? He said we very seldom set up appointments with new vendors, but this guy has done an excellent job! Introduced and marketed Hess Services’ tanks and equipment to most all the oil companies in the territory. Wrote and submitted bid proposals in response to Request for Quotes, and in an effort to solicit business. Followed up with each and every customer and potential new customers via phone or email, following our meeting, or phone conversation. Wrote and submitted weekly sales reports to the VP of Sales and Operations, and worked very closely with him, keeping him informed of my progress with existing and potential new customers. Used his expertise to help close deals and when I needed help with technical issues. Worked with company staff including engineers, customer service representative, accounting and billing, as well as logistics to make sure the customer’s orders and requests were properly submitted and understood. Oversaw the delivery of the tanks and equipment, and also followed up with customers to make sure the delivery went well. Filled out and submitted expense reports. Took part in trade shows, and other marketing events.

Then did a lot of cold calling on the companies by phone and email making them aware of Black Hills Fiberglass, and the fiberglass tanks they manufactured. Traveled throughout the Bakken including North Dakota, and eastern Montana, as well as Wyoming calling on oil companies, and salt water disposal companies. Made appointments with customers to review their needs, and to establish future opportunities. Handled any problems or concerns from customers, and came up with the solutions to the problems. Worked under minimum supervision.

Turned over customers to the division managers so the work orders could be processed and work could be scheduled. Followed up with customers when our services were being performed as well as after the completion of the work to see if everything was going or went as promised.
