Relocated July '89 from the U.S. to Europe to start up and manage the first European subsidiary of Trek Bicycle Corporation. Trek USA was a $50 million-dollar company operating at minimal profit. Created Trek presence in the German market and expanded subsidiary from -0- to a $50 million-dollar subsidiary contributing a substantial profit.
Sales/Marketing:
• Responsible for $160 million in consolidated sales between 9/89-9/2000.
• Contributed $10 million profit over the same period while Germany was in a recession.
• Created European presence. Located office and warehouse space, hired trained and developed staff, established customer base, developed first Trek catalog in German and established magazine contacts.
