Tyrel Taasevigen: Project Coordinator in El Segundo, CA

As a store design project coordinator, I lead a team of typically ten contract merchandisers and temporary employees to remodel our stores. Remodels for Pep Boys are always done during open business hours so precision and organization are of the utmost importance. My focus lies in the fixture set-up, merchandising, and decor of the store, creating the wall-to-wall customer experience. During the duration of a project I maintain the project timeline, scope of work and staffing reports to keep all outside parties involved. Additionally, my responsibilities include: training contractors and employees on methods, policies and procedures; quality control; effective communication and cooperation with store operations. The position requires full time travel and I manage all my own logistics. •6 extensive store re-brandings, 3 being higher profile stores in terms of degree of difficulty based on scope of work. •15 total remodels in lead role, all completed on time (or earlier) and under budget.
