Candace Lin: Production Coordinator in Los Angeles, CA

· Managing accounts and overseeing production from placement of Purchase Orders to shipment · Procuring fabric/textile samples from oversea and domestic vendors · Working closely with fabric mills in Asia and Mexico for the best delivery, so as to receive fabric as early as possible · Negotiate price for all orders and main accounts, especially for volume orders to increase margins · Creating a fabric production Work-In-Process (WIP) to be maintained on a daily basis · Provide customers with Time and Action (T&A) dates for upcoming orders and “fast track”/”chase” orders · Partnering with vendors/suppliers to uphold T&A dates in order to secure and maintain deliveries · Managing daily correspondence with customers and vendors · Attend weekly conference calls with customers to track orders and build a rapport · Closely working with our in-house colorist checking all strike-offs, lab dips, and shipping samples prior to send-out to ensure that color is up to the customers standards · Responsible for sending required strike offs, lab dips, bulk production samples, etc. to customers on time · Providing support to our garment development and pre-production teams to ensure artwork, color standards, and samples are received in a timely manner; thus keeping to scheduled deadlines · Inputting Fabric Testing requests with approved lab facilities (i.e., SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas) and reviewing pass/fail results to make certain our quality is up to customers’ requirements · Coordinating shipments between fabric suppliers and customers to ensure fabric and garment delivery is kept · Directly work with our in house Quality Control Manager to troubleshoot any fabric issues, to review shipments and inspection reports, and claims so as to ensure we provide quality goods to the customer · Handling production claims between customers and vendors in regards to fabric shortages, defects, over-shipments, price settlements, and chargebacks
