Dave Chitjian: Import Logistics Coordinator in Irvine, CA

Import Logistics Coordinator Initially hired for import logistics and now utilizing both roles import & inbound and scheduling deliveries for all 3 of our warehouses. Review Daily Logistics Report to ensure data provided to Production and Sales is accurate. Update production department with port closures, US Customs exam or natural disasters. Ensure Full Circle dates are accurate daily. Ensure Airway and Steamship Guarantees are released quickly and efficiently prior to port arrival. Provide Production with details of Customer Action bookings. For Import Ocean shipments (only), insure ISF (Importer Security Filing) is filed by cutoff date at origin, to avoid penalty from Customs. Maintain open communication and develop relationships with manufacturing vendor network. Make daily/weekly contact with both FOB/LDP/DDP vendors in order to make accurate updates. Endorse OBLs’ that are consigned to LJG and ensure the Freight Forwarder (FF) releases prior to vessel arrival. Manually update OBLs received by freight forwarders. Provide estimate air cost via UPS or carrier for planning. Review Drayage daily Delivery Log to increase time, reduce demurrage and cost. Approve all deliveries for domestic, FOB, LDP and DDP. Coordinate necessary shipping documents with proper MID (Manufacturer ID), COO, Water Resistance Certificate, IFI, etc. to the Customs broker. Create new L/C application and Amendments and maintain L/C schedule/setup in Wells Fargo system.

I'm in charge of all operations on the west coast. Including, hiring, production, ordering supplies, and everything else that goes with operations.

Shipping/Traffic Manager. I handle all the day to day shipping and receiving for domestic and INTL accounts.
