Global Truth Center Los Angeles
Audio Engineer / Keyholder | 11/2018 - Current
Each Sunday morning, I handle the live audio mix for the band at Global Truth Center, a multi-denominational church based around the teachings of Ernest Holmes. The sound mix is for a full band of 5 musicians - drums, bass, keys, electric guitar, classical guitar - as well as up to 6 vocalists at any given time. The position involves using a Yamaha M7 digital mixing console along with a variety of microphones, both wireless and standard, to achieve the best desired sound. This mix is then sent to an additional outboard mixer where it is fine tuned for live broadcast as well as archived for streaming at a later date. On top of the Sunday morning services, I have been doing bi-weekly concerts at the same sanctuary, but for a different church group who shares the space. That particular gig ranges in musical lineup, anywhere from acoustic guitars to full-on percussion ensembles and various horn instruments. Being more of a live sound position, this responsibility requires me to stay on my toes, constantly making adjustments while having to diagnose and solve any problems on-the-fly.
Yamaha Guitar Group
Quality Assurance Surveyor | 05/2019 - Current
Test and experiment with various products in the Line 6, Ampeg, and Yamaha Guitar division for quality assurance. Line 6 has lead the industry into digital amplification modeling, and with that comes great responsibility to deliver quality products to the end user. Largely focused on the Line 6 Helix product family as well as Ampeg SVT upgrades. Working with a team of highly skilled music industry professionals to find any "technical bugs" in the equipment so that the issues can be addressed before releasing to the public. This includes a variety of ad-hoc testing, working from specific spreadsheet guidelines, and consistently shifting gears to facilitate particular projects based on management priorities and customer feedback. Outside-the-box thinking is a must. When issues are discovered, they are reported in the company's log where the software/hardware engineers can make necessary adjustments to the equipment. Hands-on experience with sound design, signal routing, multi-interface compatibility, and new technical innovations to push the product line forward.
Private Contract / Independent Studios
Tattoo Artist | 08/2007 - Current
I apprenticed to be a tattoo artist when I was 17 under Monica Barnes in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. I worked for Monica at her shop, M&M Tattooing from 2007-2010. I briefly lived in Los Angeles during 2010, where I worked at Rich Ink Studios in Van Nuys. I had relocated back to Pennsylvania before Christmas of that year, and worked again for M&M Tattooing until August 2011 when I moved to Colorado. While living in CO, I mostly tattooed freelance in my own private studio, but spent a few months working with La Familia Tattoo in Fort Collins in 2015 and also did some part time work at Rocksteady Tattoo in Fort Collins in 2018. Still tattooing, by appointment only.

Verts Neighborhood Dispensary LLC
General Manager | 04/2016 - 11/2018
I was the General Manager of a fast-paced boutique Cannabis Dispensary in Fort Collins, CO for two years. I began working there as an entry-level sales associate and was promoted to Compliance Officer in under 3 months. I was subsequently promoted to General Manager just months later due to failure of previous management. We immediately made changes to attitudes... I initiated a policy to switch gears into an environment built on caring about one another and the rest fell into place. Less than a year later, sales were up 300%! The owners allowed me to rebrand the company, which involved designing a new logo and overall store vibe. I worked with our graphic designer on new media, creating an entirely fresh company identity, better suited to the energy of our store. By removing weak links and hiring new all-stars, I built a team of carefully selected individuals who bring genuine care and passion to their jobs every day; that energy is contagious to all of our clients and customers. My management style is to help my team know that their personality and abilities are genuinely a valuable part of our operation. This approach has given me one of the highest employee retention rates in the entire statewide industry. More importantly, it has given me a team of hard workers who LOVE their jobs and have the utmost respect for themselves, their co-workers and managers. At the end of the day, we have a fun and inviting place for people to work and customers to shop. The hospitable vibe that we have achieved is unmatched in our industry and we've become a well-known and highly respected name within our industry. We’ve extended this aspect of caring into the political world by joining Colorado’s Cannabis Business Alliance. Working with the CBA has bestowed upon me the opportunity to attend meetings at the state capital, allowing me to speak with state legislators and lawyers about amending rules to best suit the industry without jeopardizing public safety.
