Senior Project Smart Baby Crib UTEP - August 2013 to May 2014 • Designed and implemented from idea to prototype a Smart Crib that uses microcontrollers, sensors to trigger a sound module and motor, to play music, rock crib as well as identify parents via wireless module of status of the baby • Motion, microphone, and infrared thermometer monitored baby's status and health via communication with MSP430 microcontroller and CC1101 radio transceiver • Designed code, schematic, PCB layout, purchased, soldered, built and tested final prototype via user requirements • Used Microsoft Project to assign tasks and make sure deadlines were met with the other team member • Several presentations made to students, faculty, and public demonstrations

NMSU New Mexico State University - Albuquerque, NM - June 2005 to August 2005 • Assisted researchers from the New Mexico State University's Civil Agricultural and Geological Engineering (CAGE) department in the static load test of the I-40 Bridge that crosses the Rio Grande in Albuquerque, NM. • Installed strain gauges under I-40 Bridge which calculated the deflection under varying static loads
