Jenna Nabors: Junior Account Manager at Verde Brand Communications in Seattle, Washington

In this role, I help to manage outdoor industry client accounts and act as a main point of contact for our clients. My tasks include media coverage tracking, pitching, seeding product samples, writing and distributing press releases, attending media showrooms on behalf of our brands and more.

In this role, I wrote articles for the Graduate College’s online blog, “The Graduate Insider," on student stories, graduate events and graduate resources; scheduled posts to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram via Hootsuite; and edited all articles to be published by the Graduate College on its blog and on ASU News, an ASU multimedia news website.

Greenbrier is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Messina Group and works as a full-service consulting firm specializing in crisis management, corporate communications, and public affairs. The responsibilities of this internship included: media monitoring, list building, client research across a broad range of industries and subjects, content creation including blog posts, website content and social media posts, and building and updating databases.

The writing intern at the Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity at NC State is responsible for writing, editing and promoting diversity/inclusion-based material for OIED's newsletter, the Diversity Digest, as well as managing OIED's Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts. NC State's OIED is committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible and diverse intellectual and cultural campus experience related to the mission of NC State University.

The Spectrum News 1 newsroom internship is a learning-intensive program designed to give students hands-on experience. In this role, interns shadow reporters and producers; write, interview and assist in the production of news stories; and work with reporters and anchors to determine story form and content and assemble newscasts.

Managed front desk operations including answering parent questions about Charlotte Ballet Academy and preparing for academy school year classes. Coordinated faculty and assisted in Summer Intensive events. Assisted in the development and execution of marketing plans including social media, content creation, website, public relations and special events.
