Jennifer believes impactful design transcends aesthetics and function; it encompasses an awareness in branding, storytelling, relevant trends and cultural currents.  It's emotional.  Creating something meaningful which deeply engages the consumer is both a challenge and inspiration. Producing that product also carries with it an ethical responsibility to the environment and the people working across the supply chain.

Travel, the great outdoors, live music, art and architecture are sources of continuing inspiration.  A genuine curiosity for textiles, silhouette, construction and function inform Jennifer’s evolving design and development process.

Jennifer grew up outside of Boston and studied in New York and Milan, receiving her BFA in International Fashion Design from FIT in 2009.  She later studied sustainable design at FIT where she was awarded the Sustainable Design Entrepreneurs Certification in 2020.  She has worked in Europe and New York as a designer, and currently lives in Los Angeles.

- Traveled 4x yearly to Hong Kong and Shanghai for development and sourcing

- Designed, sketched and generated tech-packs with clear silhouette, garment construction, and trim 
- Allocated all development to 8-10 factories based on development history, strengths, capacity, costing, etc.
- Corresponded daily with all factories, mills, and vendors on sample development
- Worked crossfunctionally with Merch, Sales, Production, and Design from development through bulk
- Traveled with VP to Europe for market research / shopping (London, Amsterdam, Madrid)

- Led structured wovens categories: all outerwear, jackets, bottoms, denim; developed washes 
- Designed and tech packed soft wovens as well as knit active, “Heritage” category
- Collaborated with VP and Design Director on concept development, trend research, & brand positioning
- Proposed concepts, created computer and hand sketches, presented tears/market research, 
compiled samples to reference detail/silhouette (vintage/bought/or top-selling repeat bodies)
- Created technical sketches and tech packs for prototypes/salesman samples/production
- Created styles in DeSL; processed all design updates and changes from initial sketch to production
- Communicated with Hong Kong office on all stages of development with daily email correspondence, 
line plan updates, and notification processes in DeSL

- Created and maintained up-to-date technical sketches/ BOMs for prototypes/ SRS /production
- Sourced/developed/selected innovative fabrics/ trims/ prints/ embellishments
- Worked directly with in-house pattern-makers and sample-sewers to develop internal prototypes
- Led fittings; communicated/maintained organized record of all comments/changes
- Communicated daily with factories in Asia/Turkey to ensure accurate, on-time prototype development
- Traveled seasonally within Europe for sourcing + trend research (Berlin, Munich, Paris, London, Istanbul)
