As well, proficient with excel since most of my work is inputting cut and wash request from laundry houses. As an intern for Men’s Product Development, I was responsible for inputting fit comments for proto-type samples, inspecting fabric quality, body measurements and trimmings. Sitting through vendor meetings, I observe the selection of fabric and vendor negotiations. I also learned the importance of professional communication with over sea vendors.
As an intern for Men’s Merchandising department I was responsible for all incoming samples and shipping samples. I would input and update pricing, cost, and quantity into PLM software. I partnered with the design team on updating CADS for the line sheet using Illustrator and Photoshop. When the team would travel over seas I was in charge of updating all tech packs and line sheets and ensuring easy access for the team. Most importantly, I sat through sales meetings and learned the mathematical aspects of merchandising.
