Michael Wheatley Photography
Director of Sales and Operations | Owner | Commercial Photographer | 11/1992 - 12/2015
Passionate about photography since I was a kid, I acquired my father’s photography studio 20+ years ago.
Specializing in commercial photography with an emphasis on food and beverage products and architectural photography, I tripled the business over the years.
As a sole proprietor I get to wear many hats, so on any given day you’ll find me negotiating contracts, prospecting to find new business, or behind the camera directing a shoot.
Another role I fill is teacher when I am leading a class on studio lighting at Ivy Tech Community College.
Breck's Bicycle Shop
Sales Manager | Sales Associate | Client Service Manager | 03/2011 - 05/2015
As an avid cyclist, I wanted to help others enjoy the sport as well, so I sought out a sales associate role at a new bicycle shop in town. After just a year, I was asked to fill the role of full-time sales manager for the store.
I led my 7-member team to be the top-selling shop of three locations and selected as one of America’s Best Bike Shops by the National Bicycle Dealer’s Association.
Always looking to improve efficiencies, I established ordering processes to save on shipping and turn inventory management to be just in time.
And, in an effort to boost sales, I initiated the first in-store product displays as well as email marketing campaigns with monthly offers to drive more traffic to the store.
