Paul Steckler: Senior Vice President - Engineering & Operations in Boulder, CO

As the executive responsible for the worldwide Vexcel Data Program I built the team from the ground up - today we are over 60 people responsible for the biggest U.S. aerial imagery collection, processing the imagery, and the platform that delivers the resulting geospatial products to our growing customer base. We have built most of our tools in-house and rely on cloud-scale technologies to produce more at 10% of the headcount and resources as our competitors.

Led the product and engineering effort focused on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and geospatial technologies. We partnered with several Fortune 500 companies to build advanced research prototypes including an AI-driven bot that could simulate character voices.

Lead the effort to build and launch Cyanogen's modular operating system. I lead the engineering team that designed, built, and launched several Android phones and operating system iterations.

As Chief of Staff I led the effort to design, build, and deliver Amazon's first phone as well as the first generation Alexa products. Collaborating across more than 100 teams from design, product, engineering, and go-to-market teams, both products were delivered on time and on budget.
