Handled automation of configuration management via Chef across a variety of Operating Systems (CentOs, Rocky, Ubuntu, Windows)
for all aspects of the VFX pipeline, including workstations, render
nodes, render managers, storage and display gateways.

●   Transformed internal requirements into changes to pre-existing build profiles (such as implementation of LDAP/SSSD), along with creating cookbooks for entirely new resources (pihole/elk servers).

●   Oversaw changes in the configuration management codebase for several migrations:

○   From Chef 14 to Cinc 18.
○   From CentOS 7 and Ubuntu 20.04 to Rocky 8 to standardise
OS offerings.
○   From Windows 10 to a centrally managed desktop experience on Windows Server 2019, and then to Windows Server 2022.

●   Provided technical support in both English and Catalan.

●   Through self-directed learning, gained proficiency in Chef Infra and Chef Inspec, including Cookstyle, Chefspec and test kitchen.

●   Used benchmarks from the Center for Internet Security (CIS) to create Inspec test suites for CentOS and Ubuntu.
