Thami Mbhele: Regional Business Manager (Free State & Northern Cape)

DIVISION/DEPARTMENT Lending Department ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Oversee all regional operations (Lending Department and Educational Business Solutions Department) - Business Development - Ensuring that quality standards and client expectations are met through effective leadership - People Management - A team of 23 (9 permanent + 14 flexi staff) staff members spread across Free State and Northern Cape provinces - Manage Fund Administration stakeholders (Universities, NSFAS, Merchants and Private Accommodation Providers) - Current base is maintained and identify opportunities to develop new business - Regular financial and budget reporting - Identifying and mitigating risk - Developing a sales and marketing plan for the region - Effectively communicating Fundi's value proposition - Meet sales targets for new business and grow existing portfolios - Establish opportunities and maximising income streams - Negotiate agreements and sign up new corporate and college agreements - Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in order to achieve specified targets - Constantly communicate to all parties within the process to ensure expectations are met and sales team are able to deliver on the key deliverables of the area.

DIVISION/DEPARTMENT Sales and Marketing ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Achieve both B2B and B2C Sales targets - Manage own sales production performance, establish and maintain sales pipeline - Market Eduloan products across government departments, unions and corporates by growing and optimising current portfolios - Customer retention - Customer service improvement - Implementation of communication plan for stakeholders (Universities, colleges and schools) - Identify cross-sell opportunities of Eduloan products - Travel across Free State and Northern Cape provinces for marketing activations, career exhibitions and stakeholder engagement CURRENT EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

DIVISION/DEPARTMENT Helpdesk ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide helpdesk support service - Investigate reasons for problems and solve them for clients - Follow up on all outstanding queries timeously as per SLA with clients - Analysing and solving problems - Troubleshooting and establishing hardware and software issues - Ensuring customer satisfaction - Provide input for more pro-active support (i.e. repetitive problems). - Ensure that the log is resolved after escalating to the programmer. DIVISION/DEPARTMENT Sales (In Retailer) ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Achieve contracted sales targets. - Manage own sales production performance and implement corrective actions. - Managing resources at Nedbank Pick n Pay Noordstad. - Ensure effective implementation and support to national and localised sales campaigns - To encourage product utilisation through packaged cross selling and expand the use of Nedbank group products and financial services. - Identity and define product utilisation through a packaged sales approach - Identify cross-sell opportunities in existing customer base - To ensure sales process implementation compliance and conformance (FICA and FAIS).
