I am a recent graduate of San Jose State University with a degree in Public Relations. I am looking for entry-level opportunities in the PR, marketing or communication fields. I am a highly-motivated individual with a willingness to learn.

I have prior experience in public relations and marketing through my jobs at Karbo Communications and the San Diego Association of Governments. I've also held multiple other jobs over the years. Media and writing has been my passion ever since I became involved with my high school newspaper. As the sports editor, I gained a greater appreciation for the media and gained valuable experience in journalistic writing. I believe I can be an asset to any company because of my strong background in public relations and the multiple journalism, mass communication and business classes I’ve taken while at San Jose State University. These classes have taught me how to be a strong communicator, how to use social media to develop a brand and how to plan events effectively. 

As someone that has worked since the age of 16, I know the value of hard work and determination. My multiple jobs over the years have taught me how to manage time effectively and work in a high pace environment.

Contributed to the implementation of outreach and marketing strategies for agency projects, programs and services. Responsibilities included: assisting with researching, writing and editing newsletters, news releases, fact sheets, print/broadcast advertising, and other collateral materials. Assisted with planning and organizing a variety of outreach events. Maintained and developed media contact lists.

Actively supported the agency on various projects. Responsibilities included: Researching client and competitor press coverage, building target lists using Cision, researching and maintaining editorial calendar opportunities, researching speaking and awards opportunities and managing various day-to-day administrative operations.

Public Relations Intern

Promoted San Diego 6 the CW by interacting with viewers at promotions events all over the San Diego Area. Ran web marketing campaigns for the CW viewer loyalty program and maintained San Diego 6's social media accounts by sending information out to over eighty-five thousand followers.

Creative Services Intern

Promoted FM 94/9 (a Lincoln Financial Media radio station) through listener interaction at promotions events and through social media. Assisted the promotions team with the set up and break down of all radio station events in the San Diego area.
