Direction across all platforms: magazine, website, special projects, social media, marketing campaigns, events and awards. Working with our team to come up with creative solutions using photography, illustration and graphics. I managed illustrators, designers, photo editors and interns.

Designing the monthly magazine in addition to assigning illustrations, working closely with editors and illustrators to ensure accuracy and aesthetically pleasing designs. Collaborated with the photo editor to research photographers, conceptualize and edit photo shoots. Managed production department by doing color checks, organized work flow and signing off on page proofs. Started the magazine's first intern program, managing the intern and art assistant. Assisted the Art Director with an award winning redesign.

In addition to designing the monthly magazine, art direction of various photo shoots, castings, and editing photography. Assigning illustrations and conceptualizing stories with editors to create a visual impact.

Hired, managed and directed art staff for a start-up science and pop-culture magazine in NYC. Responsible for the production process by hiring a pre-press studio, completing color checks and traveling to the printer to oversee the print production of the magazine. Managed the art budget, in addition to designing marketing and promotional materials.

Responsible for front of the book sections, profiles, features and special supplements. Reviewed portfolios for designers and photographers in addition to editing film. Coordinated with the pre-press agency on color correction, and sending layout files.
