I am looking for a design position that utilized my creativity and problem solving abilities, but also creates an atmosphere in which I can grow and be challenged.  

For the past 6 years I have been working as an accessories designer for Allegro Creative a division of Conair. My work with Allegro includes creating soft sided and hard sided cosmetic bags which are multi functional for all types of beauty
accessories. I also manage and design 2 labels for 7 major accounts in the cosmetic bag mass and prestige markets. I work from concept to production creating timelines, trend reports, designing shapes, creating prints and other surface design, and managing the sample making and catalog processes.

I also have experience in clothing for both men's and women's design as an assistant designer. I worked with Nordstrom in Men's Sportswear and Women's Bridge. There I created spec packs in Flex PLM and WEB PDM. I also worked closely with internal quality assurance during the development stage to ensure our products would pass testing in the production stage. I would communicate daily with the factories on everything from development to sampling. I attended all the fittings and assisted with comments on fit for the technical designer to pass on to the factories.

In addition to design, I have considerable managing experience. I have helped run the Angel City Derby Girls for the past 6 years as a member of the board of directors and as the head of training.

• Work with other members of the BOD to make major financial decisions for league
• Create and implement training program for over 100 skaters on 5 levels of skill
• Work continuously to create new solutions for a growing and competitive league

• Obtained great understanding of the mass and prestige markets for accessories
• Worked as lead designer for all mass accounts totaling over $25m
• Increased POS for all accounts by 35-40%
• Managed entire process of lines from analysis & research to production

• Managed graphic designers to create 100+ prints per season

Accessories Designer

• Created flat sketches and spec packs using Web PDM and Flex PLM for 4 labels
• Followed up with factories for any necessary information or issues
• Approved handlooms, lab dips, and bulk yardage
• Added design details when necessary to help create a consistency within the label
• Developed and source buttons and trim using artwork created for the label
• Sourced fabrics from mills in China and Japan
• Created flat sketches for development and production for Classiques Entier
• Updated all production spec packs and ensure all information is accurate and up to date for 100 to 200 styles per season
• Communicated with factories in China for all development and production
• Approved handlooms, lab dips, and bulk yardage
• Worked with QC for care labels and additional testing when necessary

Assistant Designer

• Analyzed processes to lower garment costs and analyze factory structure to make production more efficient
• Documented daily production, errors, excess cost, and efficiency for Production Engineer
• Lead bi-annual and quarterly inventory, making inventory processes more efficient in order to decrease loss
• Pushed garments through the assembly process/ tracking special orders for rush orders for special customers
• Assisted in training new sewing machine operators, and analyzing training process to decrease turnover
