Hands on manager leading a team of 9 direct reports, located throughout the US and Canada, responsible for 1600+ CAD and Business Operations servers and filers (NetApp), in a high availability condition providing 99.999% uptime to more than 3100 users in a 24x7x365 environment.

* Worked with users to determine IT needs and architect a solution to fit those requirements
- This included determining computing resources, NetApp storage, backup requirements, costs and overhead to maintain it.
* Made many optimization enhancements to our Coppell data center
- New backup infrastructure to reduce overall backup times (50%) and increase reliability over 99%
- Massive server consolidation project that eliminated redundant and older servers. This gave us more expansion capability while lowering our cooling / electricity needs and TCO.
* Hands on with Windows, Linux and NetApp administration while managing team.
* Constantly reading and researching current technology trends and worked to implement the ones that benefit the organization
* Established a single point of contact Regional CAD support system with complete 24x7x365 coverage
* Galvanized IT service delivery, achieving a lofty 97.6% SLA fulfillment for all incidents and requests.
* Managed service contracts for all data center server hardware and software. Always looking for ways to reduce costs without sacrificing support
Project Management
Created, lead and executed numerous successful projects.
* Directed server and data center consolidation initiatives, unifying multiple locations into the Coppell, TX DC while optimizing capacity of over 1500 servers there to handle over 1PB of data with no business disruption.
* Co-lead multiple enterprise sized UPS relocations across the US and from the US into Canada.
