Planning and managing on a yearly basis more than 50 meetings and workshops, three large-scale educational conferences, with many of the meetings and events running simultaneously and ranging from 10-10,000 attendees. Direct management of special events that include Galas, Award Banquets, Opening Reception, Board Dinners, VIP Receptions, and Golf Tournaments. VIP logistics, travel, hotel accommodations, ground transportation and itineraries. Conducts site visits and makes recommendations future event locations. Handle all post conference meeting duties, such as consolidating invoices, creating evaluations, and hotel pick-up reports and staff reimbursements. Oversee the management of the budget process for Conferences and Events including monthly and year-end tracking. Track and document project status and timelines to accomplish objectives. Evaluate progress and report to Senior Director and Executive Team. Managed a project team of eight, with one direct report. Perform performance evaluations of team members and direct report. Manage four volunteer Committees or Divisions. Develop volunteer recruitment plans, advertisements and marketing materials. Manage and moderate LinkedIn groups and Facebook pages to promote Councils initiatives and to encourage volunteer engagement.
